The Micah Project

The Micah Project is part of the People Improving Communities Through Organizing -Louisiana Interfaith Together (PICO LIFT).  PICO- LIFT is a statewide effort consisting of 6 faith-based community-organizing projects in Louisiana covering 13 cities. PICO LIFT has been organizing communities in Louisiana since 1988.

Their mission is to provide families and religious congregations in Louisiana with a voice in the decisions that shape their lives and communities.

The Micah Project focuses on face-to-face engagement, leadership development, tooling and supporting residents to create changes needed in partnership with decision makers. This process prepares the faith community to deal with confrontation with respect, civility and courage.
